Who You Are:

As a Category Manager for Michael Kors launching the Amazon account and partnership, you will support all divisions (Accessories, Footwear, Ready to Wear, Men’s and liaison with Licensing) in developing strategies to optimize product assortments and inventory on the site, while also monitoring promotional cadences. You will manage how the Michael Kors product appears on Amazon, as well as analyzing selling to ensure curated assortments generate revenue, profit, and optimal inventory turnover. You must be results-driven with strong communication and organizational skills, as well as someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are a multi-tasker and team player who can work collaboratively. You must have a digital background, strong analytical skills, and a keen sense of the digital marketing landscape. It’s preferable that you show strong entrepreneurial skills, and there is a strong preference for you to have previous Amazon experience.


You will report into a director role, with exposure to executive management, both internal and external.


What You’ll Do:

  • Drive successful launch on Amazon
  • Leverage cross-functional teams and initiatives to execute assortments and create merchandising strategies that will drive the business and optimize results
  • Uphold the Michael Kors brand vision within our Designer Shop, in partnership with marketing and creative teams
  • Generate business analysis to track selling, identify key trends and maximize opportunities to achieve continued growth and profitability
  • Manage business processes inclusive of market buys, marketing strategies, monitoring of shipments, inventory management, as well as financials and budgets
  • Prepare and present seasonal product strategies, business plans and recaps for upper management
  • Collaborate and partner with multiple divisions across the company: Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail, Planning


You’ll Need to Have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years relevant digital experience
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Full understanding of product lifecycle & proficient in retail math
  • Knowledge of industry best practices / standards
  • Demonstrated experience in synthesizing data analyses into actionable results
  • Strong insightful analytical skills and business acumen
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Fast learner; passion for digital retail; strong knowledge of fashion trends
  • Goal-oriented, driven and experienced in networking with and influencing decision-makers
  • Thrive in a fast paced on-time deliverable environment
  • Ability to work in NYC office 3 days a week
