Our Client is a leading home consumer product company dedicated to delivering high-quality goods and enriching lives. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Manager on a temporary long-term basis to drive growth within our product categories.


**Responsibilities:**

  • Category Strategy Development:** Develop and implement strategic plans for assigned product categories to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • New Product Development:** Lead the development of new products within the category, from concept to launch, considering sales forecasts, gross margin targets, pricing strategies, and packaging requirements.
  • Market and Competitor Research:** Conduct thorough market analysis, including competitor benchmarking, to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the category.
  • Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely production, availability of raw materials, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Packaging and Design:** Oversee packaging design initiatives to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and consumer preferences.
  • Sales and Promotion:** Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies, pricing models, and marketing campaigns.
  • Quality and Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure products meet regulatory requirements and quality standards through effective collaboration with regulatory affairs and quality assurance teams. Inventory Management:** Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:** Utilize SAP and/or PDS systems to analyze sales data, track KPIs, and generate reports for management review.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and educational materials to internal teams and external partners on new products, features, and selling points.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, operations, and finance to achieve category goals and objectives.


- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

- 2-5 years of experience in category management within the consumer goods industry.

- Strong knowledge of SAP and/or PDS software systems.

- Proven track record in new product development, including concept ideation, pricing strategies, and packaging design.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance data and market research.

- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards related to consumer products.
