Our retail client is looking for a Category Manager! This full-time role will start ONSITE for the initial training period, then becomes HYBRID in-office 3 days a week.
The Category Manager will be developing concepts and designing graphics for juniors apparel, working alongside the product development team to bring on-trend designs to life. This person will also lead a small team of designers and oversee project management.
Category Manager Requirements
Bachelors degree required
5 + years experience, 2 + years leadership experience
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Wrike or similar project management software
Category Manager Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Creative Director and department head to develop seasonal apparel and graphic design concepts for specialty retailers
Design graphics for a variety of apparel items including t-shirts, hoodies, cut and sew garments, sweaters and seasonal trend items
Oversee development from concept to final product and manage projects in Wrike
Work cross functionally to ensure designs meet brand standards, market demands, and cost guidelines
Support design, product development, and sourcing teams with research, sketching, and prototyping, as needed.
Manage and mentor a team of 4 designers
Handle 1:1s, performance issues and other management related tasks.
