Position Summary:

The Cashier handles all on-site payment transactions for all departments within the dealership.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Accepts cash, credit card and open account payments for all parts invoices and repair orders
  • Works with Counter staff and Service Advisors to ensure accurate and complete payment
  • Issues credit memos for parts and core returns under guidance from the Parts Manager
  • Matches all parts invoices to ensure payment types; CC/Check or open account match
  • Responsible for petty cash /change drawer by completing daily reconciliation and hand-off for pre & post shifts
  • Processes all daily transaction sheets and submits to accounting on a daily basis
  • Maintains physical security of all cash during the assigned shift
  • Provides invoice copies as requested by customers
  • Process credit card deposits for the vehicle sales department as requested
  • Assists with Accounts Payable functions as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or required experience:

  • High school diplomas or general education degree
  • 1 year of related or industry experience
