Position Summary

The Case Manager, Crew Relations will be responsible for an investigation caseload, and conducting an array of investigations from frontline investigations, such as, but not limited to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, interpretation of internal practices and policies, federal, state, and/or local laws and regulations. This position will support positive employee engagement by providing guidance and recommendations to resolve crewmember and crewleader concerns. This role will work closely with the People Business Partners, Legal, Labor Relations, People Centers of Excellence, Compliance teams and business leaders to promote equity, company values, and accountability in the workplace and to respond appropriately and fairly to employee concerns.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct prompt, fair, impartial, and thorough investigations into sensitive employee relations issues concerning allegations such but not limited to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, from start to finish, including conducting intake, leading interviews, note-taking, gathering and analyzing evidence (electronic, physical, etc.), documenting findings.
  • Formally respond to sensitive concerns and allegations as required by internal processes and/or external agencies.
  • Objectively debrief People Business Partners, stakeholders and leadership on investigation findings.
  • Ensure the completeness of full and fair investigations, and identify and articulate risk/reward recommendations and outcomes.
  • Track, interpret and report on Crew Relations actions; proactively identifies issues and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • In collaboration with People Business Partners, consult with crewmember and managers at all levels to provide guidance and recommendations related to disciplinary actions, performance, JetBlue policies, and other matters.
  • Establish and develop relationships with crewmembers of all levels as well as People Business Partners.
  • Discreetly handle sensitive and/or private information.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Experience And Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
  • One (1) year of relevant employee relations or HR experience, preferably focused on Employee Relations (ER) investigations, employment legal, performance management, and/or Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) experiences.
  • Experience in supporting employee investigations within HR or Employee Relations.
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of HR technologies, including Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or Case Management Tool.
  • Ability to work independently and utilize resources to problem solve a variety of complex, highly sensitive people issues.
  • Ability to prioritize work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think strategically and creatively when resolving issues and concerns.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
  • Available for overnight travel (up to 50%).
  • Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.


Preferred Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Three (3) years of relevant employee relations or HR experience, preferably focused on ER investigations, employment legal, performance management, and/or HRBP experiences.
  • Two (2) or more years of Human Resources investigation experience.
  • Professional Certification, including SHRM-SCP, or Human Resources Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience acting as a trusted advisor to leaders, peers, and employees with a consultative approach.


Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is between $50,000.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
