Additional Responsibilities
Reviews the child's enrollment form to have an understanding of the age, preferences and any medical conditions of the individual child(ren);
Ensure that the mother signs the chlld(ren) in for the childcare services;
Develops care curriculum for the child(ren);
Provides age appropriate care and engagement for a maximum of eight (8) children concentrating on developmental guidelines including art projects1 reading, games, puzzles and independent play;
Provides snacks for children and ensuring that potential food allergies are observed;
Observe behaviors of the children and report suspected abuse to the Executive Director or Clinical Director immediately and prepares an incident report;
Discuss the child's behaviors, good and bad, with the mother;
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the childcare area including cleaning up the snack area and table, cleaning up following art projects, disinfecting the toys and returning them to the appropriate areas;
Monitoring and disposing of toys and supplies that are outdated, broken or have missing parts and pieces;
In the event that there are no children and the childcare room is clean and in good order, perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator/Director.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred.
The Childcare Provider must have an interest and experience in working with children of all ages.
Employees must have a clean criminal history background check and must be at least 18 years of age.
Employees must be able to lift a maximum of 45 pounds.
Employees must demonstrate agreement to abide by policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Procedures manual and State and Federal mandates concerning the privacy and confidentiality of clients.
