Metric Consulting is looking for a Case Manager to join the Humanitarian Services team!
Join our team dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support to unaccompanied children crossing into the United States border. As a Case Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of these children. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating family reunification and ensuring the highest level of care for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a case management process focused on family reunification.
Provide culturally sensitive and age-appropriate case management services, maintaining accurate records and reporting to the ORR.
Conduct intake assessments and create individual service plans for each child in ORR’s online case management system.
Establish and maintain communication with potential sponsors, assessing their suitability to provide for the child's well-being.
Create Sponsor Care Plans as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
Conduct Safety and Well-Being Follow-up Calls post-release to sponsors.
Collaborate with stakeholders including legal service providers, post-release/home study providers, child advocates, and federal agencies.
Participate in the development of Safety Plans and oversee recreation and leisure activities.
Provide regular status updates to unaccompanied children and ensure the provision of necessary services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written), with additional languages such as Mayan dialects being highly encouraged.
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields, plus at least 1 year of experience in child welfare, quality assurance, or compliance.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Compassion and commitment to serving vulnerable populations.
Proficiency with Social Services software applications and MS Office suite.
Additional Information:
Flexible shift hours including weekends may be required.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.
Signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement and Code of Conduct is mandatory.
Travel or relocation may be necessary based on operational requirements.
