Responsibilities

  • Perform a diverse range of builders work including: layout and dimensional control; cabinetry, interior/exterior trim, door, and window installation; some framing; and, general carpentry support to subcontractors.
  • Support the Construction Supervisor by interpreting and following blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry tasks, using hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of general and finish carpentry, millwork, and cabinetry while maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to enable and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues impacting safety, quality, schedule, budget, or reputation.
  • Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure functionality and safety and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter with a track record of completing projects at a high level of finish.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials, and general knowledge of all trades and construction methods/materials.
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and other project partners.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to connect judgment to overall project and team objectives when making independent decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Possess a basic carpentry tool kit.

  • Starting wage of $22.00 - $36.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
