The Career Services Manager works under the direction of the EVP of Career Services to achieve campus placement goals and objectives for assigned group of campuses. They will work directly with Campus Directors and have dotted line responsibility for the Career Services staff - Career Development Representatives (CDR) and Student Support Representatives (SSR) supporting general direction, selection, training, development and retention. The Career Services Manager will have shared accountability for campus placement metrics, compliance with accreditation requirements, and Career Services staff turnover within campuses. The Career Services Manager is also responsible for managing a personal sales funnel, developing job leads, and establishing relationships with students and employers.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Job Development and Placement
Work with Regional Campus Director to develop new and existing job leads
Establish and manage personal funnel
Work with students/graduates regarding career preparation, interviews and/or job placement
Provide campus with guidance and resources to meet goals and objectives
Implement and manage Career Services initiatives
Monitor and take ownership for campus placement metrics
Deliver classroom presentations and training to students and graduates
Training and Development
Conduct training for Career Services staff
Assess and trouble-shoot career services functions in campuses
Work with campuses to develop action plans to meet quarterly goals and objectives
Conduct “ride along” calls with Associate Directors and provide coaching and mentoring as needed
Monitor performance and work with Associate Director to identify strengths, areas of development and address performance concerns
Compliance and Data Integrity
Ensure proper documentation of all placement activities in accordance with ABHES and Ross compliance standards
Ensure placements meet required ABHES and Ross guidelines
Ensure standard operating procedures for Career Services are being followed
Conduct quarterly and spot check audits
Assist schools with audit preparation

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
5+ years’ work experience with at least 3 years of proven success in outside sales or other relevant field of employment
Experienced in making sales calls and developing relationships and contacts in the community
Proven ability as a “closer” and in building strong and lasting relationships with clients
Prior experience in a post-secondary education setting preferred
Ability to talk or present to groups of students or potential employers
Demonstrated leadership, communication and coaching skills preferred
Ability to deliver classroom and one-on-one training preferred
Reference and background check required for employment, including credit check
Protection of student and/or employee privacy is expected in the handling of confidential and/or financial information.
Protection of the corporation and privacy of corporate proprietary and confidential information is expected
Ability to travel to multiple locations in a week, with overnight stays away from the home campus. You are required to provide your own suitable transportation, unless otherwise directed by Ross Educational Holdings. Travel reimbursement is provided per the Ross Education Employee Handbook.
Must have sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, and office equipment.
Professional communication encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication. Successful communication skills are required for working at Ross and involve the following: writing, reading, editing, speaking, listening, software applications, data entry and reporting, and Internet research.
