Position Title: Care Navigator / Service Coordinator I

Location: Remote - Texas, Central Standard Time zone

Duration: 6 Months with potential to extend

Schedule: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM CST & 9:30 AM-6:00 PM CST

Job Description

  • The Service Coordinator I will work in a remote call center setting, assisting and educating Medicaid members on their benefits and services.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls from Medicaid members.
  • Educate members on benefits and services such as Primary Care Provider (PCP) changes, ID cards, and coordinating transportation and other services.

Performance Expectations

  • Adherence: 90% or above
  • Quality: 94% or above

Required Skills/Experience

  • Experience working with children and/or youth for 3 out of the past 5 years.
  • Ability to pass a DFPS background check.
  • Call center experience; must follow the schedule and handle calls throughout the shift.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Background in Managed Care.
  • Knowledge of MCO Medicaid STAR Health insurance.

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: BA in Social Work or Healthcare Management, LVN, CNA, CMA, RT, Pharmacy Tech.

Software Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Avaya soft phone.
