We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a CAO - Chief Accounting Officer in the Investment Advisory industry based in BROOKLYN, Ohio. This role will play a crucial part in leading governance, compliance, and directing the financial reporting team within the organization.
Responsibilities
Remain updated on technical pronouncements relevant to the industry
Oversee Sarbanes-Oxley review process to ensure compliance
Oversee income tax reporting and ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
Direct various financial reporting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Utilize skills in SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting, Business Combinations, Income Tax Accounting, Period End Closing, and Financial System to perform job duties effectively
Lead and manage the financial reporting team to ensure they meet their objectives
Implement and maintain systems and processes that improve the efficiency of the financial reporting function
Work collaboratively with other teams in the organization to ensure financial reporting aligns with organizational goals.
Requirements
Applicants must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in the Investment Advisory industry.
The role requires proficiency in SEC Reporting.
Technical Accounting expertise is a crucial requirement for this role.
Candidates should be familiar with Business Combinations.
Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting is expected.
The candidate should have experience in Period End Closing procedures.
An understanding of Financial Systems is necessary for this role.
Applicants for the CAO - Chief Accounting Officer role must have experience in a similar senior-level position.
A professional accounting certification like CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage an accounting team is required.
