In this position, you will be instrumental in maintaining the safety and security of our vibrant campus community, encompassing students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement crime prevention programs in collaboration with campus stakeholders.
Oversee safety and security initiatives to protect campus facilities and assets.
Manage a team of law enforcement professionals, focusing on excellence and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies and community partners to enhance campus safety measures.
Conduct regular patrols and inspections to address security concerns promptly.
Collaborate with campus committees to foster a safe and inclusive environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of law enforcement experience OR Associate's degree with 10 years of law enforcement experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory position.
Certification from NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission (CJETSC) as a commissioned police officer OR eligibility for out-of-state lateral hires.
NC Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Certification and a valid NC Driver's License.
