Role Description
This is a contract role for a Campus Organizer at Deeds Not Words. This role is open to all undergrad and graduate students in Texas at any campus, community college, trade school, and beyond. As a Campus Organizer, your daily tasks will involve coordinating and organizing events, engaging with students and campus communities, developing and implementing outreach strategies, and facilitating workshops and trainings. This is a hybrid role, with the primary location based in your campus and community, but with flexibility for some remote work for team meetings and check ins.
Onboarding is taking place in person July 24-28 in Houston, TX. Travel arrangements are made by Deeds Not Words but your availability for this training is essential.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Passion for social change and advocacy
Knowledge of local Texas communities and college campuses
Strong public speaking and ability to engage with community
