JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the head cook and building administrators in
providing a safe environment for students in the cafeteria.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Monitor and provide assistance to students in the cafeteria.
Monitors behavior and assists with correcting misbehavior of students in the cafeteria.
Responsible to call for assistance in an emergency situation and report any imminently dangerous situations to the head cook and building administrator.
Cleans tables dish and tray return area, makes certain clean trays and silverware are available, and replenishes condiment supply as necessary.
Assists with cleaning up minor spills and wiping down of walls immediately adjacent to the trash receptacles.
Models appropriate lunch time behavior for students and assists with students participate in keeping the cafeteria clean and organized.
Perform other duties as assigned by the head cook or building administrators.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma
Previous Experience With Students Preferred.
Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the Pennsylvania School Code).
Submission of a report of criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (Section 111 of the Pennsylvania School Code).
Submission of a clearance report from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in accordance with Act 151 of 1994.
Submission of the FBI Criminal History Record in accordance with Act 114 of 2006
Submission of sexual misconduct/abuse disclosure release form in accordance with Act 168 of 2014.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to reach above and below the waist
Ability to use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects
Ability to use both hands for repetitive motion
Considerable bending and twisting of the body required
Some stooping and squatting required
Ability to lift and/or carry supplies and/or papers weighing no more than 40 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of the workday
