CAD Designer Engineer

To support the growth of Built-4-Me department through expanding sales and customer awareness of “What Built-4-Me can do for You.” Increase the engineering capacity of the Built-4-Me team and differentiate Sunrise from our competitors.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops new product designs, controls overall scope of documentation necessary to take product to manufacturing phase.
  • Develops suitable techniques for developing custom design solutions for enhancing functionality of existing products.
  • Produces cost effective solutions to design problems within acceptable time frames.
  • Selects material to ensure designs are able to withstand appropriate loading conditions.
  • Considers, analyzes, and recommends concepts for product and process improvements.
  • Documents options to show in catalog and on website.
  • Initiate and update database, configurator and order forms.

Required Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Industrial Technology and 3 years’ experience in engineering design.
  • Ability to solve design issues; knowledge of standards applicable in the industry.
  • Excellent skills in operating design software: SolidWorks, CAD, etc.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills; able to read, write, and comprehend simple and complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Thorough knowledge of FDA and ISO Standards.
  • Ability to work independently and with other functional groups, such as R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service.
