Job Description

Savage X Fenty is currently looking for a CAD Designer

Under the direction and close collaboration with the Sr. Women’s Lounge and Sleep Designer, the CAD Designer is responsible for the creation of garment CADs and tech packs/annotated sketches, creation/upkeep of linesheets, and management of all respective category styles in PLM.

What You Will Do

• At the beginning of each season, partner with the Sr. Designer to create detailed technical sketches and construction pages for tech packs
• In addition to the above, build out initial BOMs with Sr. Designer – creating a connection between the screen and the physical product
• Knowledge of garment construction is a must
• Follow through with accuracy and thoroughness on designs; ensuring quality and consistency as it relates to fit, fabric and construction of approved design direction. Proactively communicate pertinent changes, pose questions and bring solutions where necessary.
• Actively participate to the creation and upkeep of Design boards
• Participate on proto binders for Design presentation at the middle of the development season
• Attend all scheduled Design meetings and fittings. Afterwards, update Tech pack and technical sketches to reflect Fitting and style updates
• Update and manage linesheets in a timely manner, and communicate to relevant parties.
• Management of styles in Centric PLM; from creation, through development and finally prepping them to handoff to Merch and Production partners
• Take initiative to streamline and innovate processes to help make workflow more efficient
• Contribute positively to team dynamic, a team player who is also a solution driver and efficiency advocate.
  
  

What You Can Bring

• 6 -7+ years of Fashion Design experience with strong technical apparel knowledge
• Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Knowledge of Centric PLM is a plus
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time – independently manage and prioritize workload
• A problem solver – someone excited to solve creative prompts in order to elevate product.
• A team player – to contribute positively to team dynamic, bring new ideas to the table, ask questions, cultivate passion and productivity. You are solutions driven and an efficiency advocate as well as having an all-hands-on deck mentality
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• BFA/ BA in Fashion Design or similar

The annual base salary range for this position is from $74,100-90,000. Offers to candidates are expected to fall within this range and will depend on the scope and complexity of the role, work experience, subject matter expertise, work location and other relevant factors.
