Cable Installation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Cable Installation Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will install copper and fiber telephone/data communication systems as well as implement improvements and maintenance of existing infrastructure.

Requirements: A willingness to learn Industry Standard methods and procedures as well as share your own methods and ideas with others. You will own the basic tools and be issued (or purchase) specialized tools to complete the tasks assigned to you.

You must have a valid Michigan drivers license, a dependable vehicle and current vehicle insurance. Work boots, a neat appearance and the ability to follow instructions are requirements.

NOTE: As a condition of employment, all employees will have a background check performed, as well as random drug testing. Applicants must also have a valid drivers license, auto insurance and reliable transportation

Responsibilities:

• Participate in installation and maintenance of communication systems infrastructure
• Investigate customer issues and apply appropriate solutions
  
  

Qualifications:

• BICSI Certification (not required)
• Previous experience in telecommunications
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
  

BICSI Certified Installer:

Certification preferred, however not required. Applicants without prior certification will be trained under BICSI TDMM installation guidelines and expected to work toward their BICSI Installer 1 certification.
