Buyer (Textile/Bed/Bath)

Responsibilities:

Product Sourcing and Selection:

Identify and source a diverse range of textiles, linens, and bed/bath products to meet customer preferences and market trends.

Evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries.

Market Analysis:

Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.

Utilize market insights to make informed decisions on product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.

Inventory Management:

Collaborate with the inventory management team to optimize stock levels, ensuring a balance between demand and supply.

Monitor inventory turnover rates and take proactive measures to prevent overstock or stockouts.

Cost Negotiation:

Negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, payment, and shipping terms, to maximize profitability while maintaining product quality standards.

Work closely with suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

Quality Control:

Establish and enforce quality standards for textiles, linens, and bed/bath products.

Conduct regular product inspections and collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues promptly.

Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective product promotion and marketing strategies.

Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer feedback and adjust product offerings accordingly.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Buyer with a background in textiles, linens, or bed/bath products.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.

Experience buying weekly from vendors

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control.
