Join a dynamic team where your role as a Buyer/Planner is crucial to ensuring our Delivery Solutions meet and exceed customer expectations. Working remotely, you'll play a key part in managing supplier relationships and optimizing inventory to support our global supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management:
Source and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability criteria.
Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms on pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
Issue purchase orders and track timely delivery of materials to support operational needs.
Become an expert in assigned product categories to drive informed purchasing decisions.
Inventory Planning And Control
Monitor and adjust inventory levels to optimize stock availability and reduce costs.
Develop strategies for efficient inventory management, collaborating closely with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and handling.
Use data insights to recommend optimal inventory levels and ordering methods.
Supplier Relationship Management
Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, delivery, and service.
Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and recommend improvements where necessary.
Collaboration And Coordination
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to ensure smooth production flow.
Collaborate with finance to facilitate timely payments to suppliers.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align procurement activities with business goals.
Cost Management
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce procurement expenses.
Monitor and report on key procurement metrics including cost savings and supplier performance.
Skills And Experience
Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree.
Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, or related fields is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Supply chain certifications or equivalent experience (e.g., CPIM) is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel (medium to advanced level).
Experience with ERP systems like JDE or Oracle preferred but not required.
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Compensation
The salary range for this role reflects various factors including skills, experience, and business needs.
