Buyer Planner

Job Description

As a Buyer/Planner at A&D, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of tooling, materials, and supplies while also overseeing production schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Your role includes negotiating with suppliers, maintaining relationships with vendors, and coordinating with logistics for daily shipments. You will support production staff by ensuring all necessary documentation is available, manage inventory levels, and monitor performance metrics such as profitability, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential for success in this role.

Job Duties Include:

• Source and purchase tooling, materials, and supplies.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Manage production schedules, including staff and machine/workstation scheduling.
• Run regular shortage reports to ensure accurate estimated shipping.
• Coordinate with logistics on daily shipments to customers.
• Ensure all customer-required checklists and prints are provided to technicians.
• Support production staff by ensuring all required documentation is with the job.
• Evaluate MRP and ensure all BOM items are on time.
• Monitor performance metrics such as profitability, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and supplier agreements.
• Respond to customer email requests within 24 to 48 hours
