ABOUT THE POSITION

The BUYER works cross functionally to understand operational needs from suppliers. Working as a supplier relationship advocate and lead they will place purchase orders and help determine the product and inventory needs of the business. This position will review demand needs and work with our suppliers to continue providing outstanding service levels for our customers. This position will help develop our relationships with suppliers and determine what suppliers we should be looking to grow with. This position will report to the Purchasing Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Manage vendor relationships, address concerns, and foster strategic partnerships to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory levels using purchasing software.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess inventory requirements and forecast demand accurately.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve overall purchasing performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Buyer or two+ years of Supply Chain experience. Experience with a Healthcare Distribution or a manufacturer that supplies to Healthcare Distribution preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier relations.
• MRP Experience Preferred
