General Purpose
With minimal supervision, purchase items, materials or services of a technical nature customized to company specification and delivery requirements. Expedite work, vendors, and may locate/promote new vendor sources.

Purchase and expedite for timely delivery of material parts and services as required
Vendor selection may include visiting vendor facilities
Confer with other departments as needed for technical assistance in resolving purchasing issues
Evaluate invoice charges as required
Coordinate purchasing related activities involving routing, shipping and receiving of parts and materials
Maintain appropriate records including encumbrance and company owned tooling stored or used by vendors
[Qualifications]
Knowledge and Skills Desired
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or equivalent education is required
Proficient/Advanced skills with MS Excel and ERP (SAP)
1-3 years’ experience as a buyer for a manufacturing company
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Understanding SOX requirements and internal controls
Strong attention to detail
Consistently able to meet reporting deadlines
Ability to problem solve and work independently
Strict work ethic
Strong leadership skills
Language skill is most preferred, communicating with customers
