Summary

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Business Unit Operations Manager to help scale the Engineering, Construction, Asset Management/Facility Operations (ECO) teams to successfully develop and operate a portfolio of large-scale data center projects. This role will help the Chief Data Center Officer (CDO) think through and set policies and ensure they are implemented. They will anticipate problems and are especially sensitive to issues that require diplomacy. They will function as extra eyes and ears to the CDO. Importantly, the Administrative Manager acts with the implicit imprimatur of the CDO—something that calls for humility, maturity, and situational sensitivity. This role is critical to ensuring Rowan meets its commitments with its customers and governing bodies, and effectively moves projects through the development lifecycle. This role will have the opportunity to contribute to key strategic plans and deliverables and to work across the team to prepare content that tells a data-driven, unified story.


The successful candidate in this role will have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a construction or project management environment and will be an excellent communicator and have strong organizational and analytical skills. They will also have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment.


Location

Hybrid, in Denver, CO.


Travel

Ability to travel up to 10% for company gatherings or to project sites.


Essential Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the CDO, support and lead the development and improvement of processes and procedures for the ECO team.
  • Lead the goal-setting, management, and reporting functions for ECO.
  • Lead on collecting all data and preparation/formatting of all reporting between the Engineering, Construction, and Operations business and key Rowan stakeholders.
  • Support the development of Engineering and Construction inputs to Rowan’s Board of Director submittals.
  • Coordinate the Engineering and Construction team collaboration meetings and platforms.
  • Manage the submittal and transfer of deliverables to Rowan’s clients.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of all compliance items prepared by the Engineering and Construction business, including items such as monthly reports, compliance submittals, etc.)
  • Coordinate data center project site start-up activities.
  • Lead the project administrative process for project close outs, supporting Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, and transition to Operations and site start-up.


Education, Skills, and Experience

  • BA in business or similar education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with construction management and project administration.
  • Experience with Procore or other project management platforms.
  • Experience with land development and large civil/campus project budgeting and scheduling (nice to have).
  • Very strong communication skills, specifically using PowerPoint or other graphical software to deliver technical data and business strategy.
  • Understanding and experience with C-Level communication.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment.
