Position Overview

The Business Systems Sr. Manager is responsible for leading a team of developers, analysts, and administrators who design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise software applications that support the business processes and objectives of the organization. This role has the responsibility of oversight of the entire lifecycle of the applications: from planning and analysis to development and testing, to deployment and support ensuring that the applications are aligned with the organization's strategic goals, comply with the security and quality standards, and meet the user and stakeholder expectations. The Business Systems Sr. Manager will be able to lead large scale application implementations, such as implementing a new ERP system along with the surrounding ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Request Foods Business Systems portfolio, including the selection, acquisition, integration, and optimization of software based enterprise applications.
  • Enthusiastically lead the Business Systems team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating the performance of the staff.
  • Establish and enforce the best practices, methodologies, standards, and policies for the business systems development and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the business units, vendors, and external partners to identify the business needs, requirements, and expectations for the enterprise applications while pursuing collaborative solutions.
  • Supervise and participate in the enterprise application development, testing, deployment, and support activities, ensuring the quality, functionality, security, and usability of the applications.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance, availability, reliability, and scalability of the Business Systems, and implement the necessary improvements and enhancements.
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for the application issues, incidents, and requests.
  • Research and evaluate the emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the Business Systems domain, and recommend the appropriate solutions and innovations for the organization.
  • Prepare and maintain the documentation, reports, and presentations related to the enterprise applications.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Business Systems development, implementation, and management, preferably in a large and complex organization.
  • Experience leading implementations of enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, AI, BI, etc.
  • Proven leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse and distributed team.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in enterprise application architectures, frameworks, platforms, tools, and technologies, such as ERP, CRM, AI, BI, etc. with proficiency in various programming languages, databases, web services, and APIs, such as Java, C#, SQL, XML, SOAP, REST, etc.
  • Experience in agile, waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies, and the use of project management tools, such as Jira, Trello, etc., including knowledge in cloud computing and virtualization, and the use of cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Outstanding customer service, stakeholder management, and user satisfaction skills, with the ability to understand and translate the business needs and expectations into technical solutions.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
