Duties & Responsibilities
The Business Services Manager will develop employer and sector relationships to understand business needs and collaborate with partner agencies to identify work ready opportunities for participants; ensuring program is on track to meet or exceed contractual performance goals within the guidelines of the operating budget and program deliverables.
The Business Services Manager will hire, train, and maintain appropriate staffing levels. Staff Training & Development in compliance with the organization’s policies and contract requirements.
Manage site budgets; general program oversight, including daily project management and financial management and reporting functions maintainng accurate and complete records according to the organization’s standards and contractual obligations.
The Business Services Manager works with participants to develop assigned subsidized placement, accurately complete worksite agreements, clearly reviews policies and process with participant and employer. Develop marketing material to ensure local employers are aware of business services offered.
Maintains regular contact with employers to monitor employment satisfaction and to suggest refinement of requirements to better prepare participants and meet employer hiring needs.
Attend community and funder meetings and participate in the community relating to employment services and connect with employers and community organizations on a frequent basis to market and enrich the program and the success of the participants.
Understand Labor Market Information, Demand Occupations, and observe and document trends in business.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, from an accredited College or University, in Business, Human Resources or higher education required.
3+ years relevant work experience. Past experience working with the Public and Private Sectors.
Must meet state and Eckerd Connects criminal background check requirements.
Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy

About Our Workforce Programs
Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.
