Business Reporting Analyst

Outstanding contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for an Internal Reporting Business Analyst in Charlotte, NC Jacksonville FL, or Minneapolis MN (Hybrid).

Term: 24 months + possible conversion


  • Coordinate and facilitate work across cross-functional teams (Product, Technology, Operations and other key business partners), for the purpose of eliciting detailed business requirements and Agile user stories.
  • Document requirements using standardized templates including business rules, business process flows, use cases and test cases.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and reviews of deliverables and facilitate approvals according to PMO governance.
  • Partner with technology teams through requirements gathering, execution of Proof of Concepts, design, and with testing teams through QA and UAT to ensure end product meets requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate work across cross-functional teams (Product, Technology, Operations, compliance, financial crime and other key business partners), for the purpose of eliciting detailed business requirements.
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain subject matter expert input and drive out product features and functionality.

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience and knowledge of

  • MS Power BI or Tableau or similar reporting tool.
  • MS Excel Macros.
  • SharePoint Online
  • Payment products.

-Swift Payments MT103, 202 – 1 or more projects in related areas > 6 months.

-Nostro Clearing and Settlement

-ISO 20022 Cash Management Messaging expertise is a plus

Accounting

  • Basic knowledge of accounting in Bank; doesn’t have to be an accountant.
  • Account services – DDA/MCA

Business Process Analysis and Modeling

  • Flow charting experience – Visio is a must. iGraphix is a plus.
  • Process oriented thinking and approach is important - ability to break down into step-by-step flow.
  • Detailed process oriented thinking is a must.

Business Requirements Gathering

  • Experience in writing Agile User stories and Epics is a plus
  • Prior experience of Agile software development as a SCRUM master or Product Owner is a plus

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years business analysis experience specifically in the field of business requirements development for banking products and services
  • Experience developing business requirements in support of Treasury Management products and services (i.e. Liquidity Management, Accounting, Payments, FX, Risk)
  • Knowledge of full SDLC. Exposure to Agile methodology is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas to diverse business and technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software products including MS Project, Power Point, Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint.
