Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Process Specialist to join our team and enhance operational efficiency across the organization. This role is instrumental in analyzing existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. By designing and implementing optimized processes, the Business Process Specialist contributes significantly to streamlining operations, reducing costs, and boosting productivity. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of new and redesigned processes. This position requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational and planning skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

OBJECTIVES

  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teams to design efficient and effective workflows, incorporating industry best practices.
  • Lead the implementation of redesigned processes, ensuring a smooth transition and training as required.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding documentation and resources for all roles.
  • Use data analytics to measure process performance and identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including flowcharts, manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Work with teams to manage changes in processes, ensuring minimal disruptions and effective adoption.
  • Establish quality control measures to monitor and maintain process improvements over time, and ensure accuracy and consistency in voice and format.
  • Ensure that processes adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with different departments to gather insights, facilitate communication, and address process-related challenges.
  • Generate and present reports on process improvements, key performance indicators, and project status.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Manage process improvement projects, including setting timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to enhance processes and coordinate with IT for implementation.
  • Provide training and support to employees affected by process changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work effectively with teams from various departments, as well as independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities to address process-related challenges.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to business processes.
  • Familiarity with process automation and workflow management software.
  • Ability to think strategically about process optimization and long-term goals.
  • Ability to train teams on new processes and technologies.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3 years of experience in process improvement and project management.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Business Process Management, are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000-$60,000 per year
