Specific Job Description
This position is located in the Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Successful candidates will be an organized self-starter capable of performing tasks without the need for constant oversight and experience successfully working in a team environment. Assist government personnel by providing consistent, responsive, and high-quality technical support with detailed analyses and strategic recommendations of business/systems analysis. Key duties will include:
Analyze data collected from evaluations of business processes to support recommendations for areas for improvement and develop solutions
Perform requirements analysis, document, and communicate the results
Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff
Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
Manage competing resources and priorities
Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects
Identify effective solutions for business software system issues
Evaluate system performance and identify issues
Monitor and trouble shoot new system modifications or changes
Provide recommendations on system issues
Use a variety of data analysis and tools to discover process and system issues
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field/technical field
Skills And Experience
Top Secret/SCI clearance required at date of hire
A minimum of 10 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, to include process improvements (e.g., six sigma, business process management, lean, etc.)
Strong background in developing business process maps and analyzing potential improvements
Exceptional data analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong understanding of various technologies
Excellent documentation skills
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook
A track record of following through on commitments
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
A history of supporting successful projects
