Function of the Business Operations Associate:

Manage the insurance needs of advisors and clients post sale to help increase advisor productivity and profitability. The Business Operations Associate oversees and communicates inventory needs, plans for policy owner service requests, and recommends changes and potential opportunities when able.


Responsibilities of the Business Operations Associate:

Manage underwriting process which includes providing, or collaborating with others to provide:

  • Pre-filling applications
  • Pre-checking applications for completeness and accuracy
  • Submitting applications
  • Scheduling requirements and medical exams
  • Monitoring of the Daily Status Report (DSR) and act on cases needing attention.
  • Process and/or collaborate with others to complete risk product (POS) service requests such as name and address changes, beneficiary changes, updates to Insurance Service Accounts to facilitate the collection of payments, reconsiderations, etc.

Prepare and manage client communications including:

  • Facilitation of underwriting requirements
  • Answer basic client questions.
  • Delegate call to appropriate staff specialist
  • Gather client information on behalf of staff specialist

Case Management:

  • Coordinate and prepare for weekly inventory meetings & underwriting meetings with advisors
  • Learn about and track representative forum/premium/lives goals
  • Prepare, or collaborate with others, to develop consistent services to advisors

Qualifications of the Business Operations Associate:

  • Health and Life license or gain licensing within 3 months of employment
  • Financial Services Industry experience preferred
  • Customer or Client Service experience preferred
