Motorola Solutions In-Building Solutions group provides engineering services, equipment quotes, proposal support and ordering support for 3rd party DAS/BDA solutions to enhance indoor RF coverage.

Job Description

This position is responsible for the overall coordination and tracking of business opportunities for the in-building solution team. The ideal candidate needs to be a good communicator, highly organized and detail-oriented individual. This is a fast paced environment managing multiple opportunities in the various stages of design, proposal and implementation. The success of our group relies on timely responses, exceptional coordination with our preferred partners along with our internal stakeholders to ensure the flow of tasks related to business proposals and project management.

The Business Manager is responsible for:

  • Tracking direct opportunities from request through the award process.
  • Collecting customer requirements from the requestor to support the design process.
  • Coordinating either internally with the in-house design team or externally with one of Motorola Solutions select partners for design creation.
  • Work with the team to generate turnkey pricing from implementations.
  • Pulling together final package to be delivered to our stakeholders and ultimately the end customer.
  • Managing scope changes throughout the negotiation process
  • Upon award managing the transition to the Project Delivery team.
  • Support the team during deployment as necessary
  • Track project performance.
  • Participate in project review and status meetings, and communicate project status.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with very tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, select partners and preferred vendors.
  • Works well within cross-functional teams.
  • Disciplined to work independently and effectively from home office. The team is distributed nationally with a preference to working central time zone hours.
  • Industry certifications such as PMP is preferred.
  • Experience with in-building distributed antenna systems (IDAS) requirements nd deployments is preferred.
  • Preferred with wireless technology background.

As a Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying areas for optimization, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years of Project management or proposal development experience.
