Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics Data Architect drives the design, development, and implementation of analytics data structures and processes that enable business users to conduct ad hoc analytics at the speed of thought. This position includes responsibility for requirements gathering and analysis, functional design, technical design, SQL coding, testing, and post-implementation support.

Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics Data Architect drives the design, development, and implementation of analytics data structures and processes that enable business users to conduct ad hoc analytics at the speed of thought. This position includes responsibility for requirements gathering and analysis, functional design, technical design, SQL coding, testing, and post-implementation support.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
- Engages with business leaders to understand ad hoc analytics needs
- Gathers and documents requirements, prepare development estimates, create functional specifications, and develops user documentation in collaboration with your team
- Designs, develops, and supports high-quality analytics data resources using Snowflake on AWS and AtScale
- Owns full responsibility for the AtScale Semantic Layer
- Designs and develops data models to support business requirements and ensure data integrity
- Develops and maintains data dictionaries, data models, and data mappings
- Incorporates DataOps best practices that include establishing SLAs and continuously monitor, refine, and report on the scalability, security, performance, reliability, and resilience of data analytics systems
- Optimizes cost and performance of cloud resources in deploying and operating analytics data solutions
- Ensures data governance best practices and standards are consistently applied across the organization
- Collaborates with BI team partners to understand our Enterprise Data Warehouse, ensuring efficient use of systems resources and optimizing production support
- Builds strong relationships with platform vendors and external development resources
- 3+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, preferably in the Restaurant or Retail industries
- 2+ years of additional experience specializing in enterprise data analytics architecture, design, and development
- Demonstrated ability to architect, implement, and support analytics data resources
- Thorough understanding of cloud-based data analytics platforms (preferably Snowflake and AtScale, with 2+ years of AtScale implementation experience highly desirable)
- Expert SQL skills
- Aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques
- Data Governance track record with an emphasis on data policies, standards, and processes design, administration, and compliance monitoring
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
- Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education/technical certifications, training, and work experience
