National Park College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business faculty member to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to student success. This role involves developing and delivering curriculum in business administration and related fields, advising students, and participating in departmental and college-wide activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and teach courses in business administration, including but not limited to management, marketing, finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and foster an engaging learning environment
Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and exams that align with course and program learning outcomes
Design, update, and maintain course materials and syllabi to ensure they are current and relevant
Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into the curriculum
Advise and mentor students on academic and career goals
Assist with student recruitment, retention, and completion initiatives
Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback
Participate in departmental and college-wide assessment activities
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in the field of business and education
Attend and participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and conferences
Serve on departmental and college committees as needed
Participate in community outreach and partnership activities
Performs other duties as assigned
Required skills/abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students in a diverse educational environment
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Business Administration or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Business Administration
Prior teaching experience at the college level is preferred
Professional experience in business or related fields is highly desirable
Experience with online and hybrid teaching methods is preferred
Involvement in professional organizations related to business and education is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of standing at times
Prolonged screen time
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
