Position Summary

As a Business Development Representative at W Energy Software, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. Your primary responsibility will be to engage potential clients, educate them on the benefits of our energy software solutions, and ultimately drive revenue growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and energy while making a meaningful impact in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Nurturing and Qualification: Research and identify potential prospects within the energy sector through various channels, including online research, industry events, and networking.
  • Prospect Outreach: Initiate and manage outbound sales activities, including cold calls, emails, and social outreach, to introduce W Energy Software solutions to prospective clients.
  • Call Volume: Expected to make 50-60 outbound calls daily.
  • Outreach Automation Tools: Utilize Gong & Salesforce for generating and tracking activity.
  • Educational Selling: Effectively communicate the value proposition of our energy software products and services to potential clients, addressing their specific needs and pain points.
  • Qualification: Qualify leads by understanding their requirements, budget constraints, and decision-making processes to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Prospect Pipeline Management: Maintain and update a robust prospect pipeline, track all prospects from lead to opportunity with detailed notes leads, using SFDC and other software as needed, and report on progress to the marketing sales teams on a daily basis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute targeted outbound prospect generation campaigns and strategies.
  • Prospective Client Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients, engaging in consultative selling to become a trusted advisor in the energy software space.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to provide insights for product development and sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record in a sales or business development role, preferably in the software or energy sector.
  • Proven success in generating leads from making a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Must have experience with Salesforce.com, HubSpot, SalesLoft, Outreach, or other CRM and business development tools.
  • Should have experience running outbound Account Based Marketing (ABM) strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to understand and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
