This is a fabulous opportunity to join a global leading Enterprise information technology firm. we-do-IT are key providers of specialist IT consulting, development, training and support services to a wide range of clients in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Europe, and internationally. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Business Development Manager in North America within our successful Geospatial division.


The successful applicant will have proven experience to maximise revenue, margins and business opportunities within the GIS space and would be responsible for helping our new and existing customers transform how they run their business. The successful applicant will be responsible for new business accounts, partner management, and developing and maintaining effective relationships with key clients.


The Business Development Manager would manage the end-to-end sales cycle working alongside a strong team of technical solution experts across the globe. 


The Business Development Manager will have successfully demonstrated business development capabilities representing geospatial services with a minimum 5 to 10 + years’ experience as a Sales Executive within the Utilities/Telco sector. The role has the trajectory career path of becoming CEO of North America if desired and proven.


Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be strategically minded, that can sell value added staff augmentation and technology consulting solutions and product solutions with a strong sense of customer centricity, you will actively foster new opportunities and client relationships.


The role:


  • Responsible for building a portfolio - driving revenues within the assigned set of accounts through the entire Opportunity Management cycle: Prospect-Evaluate-Propose-Close. This involves identifying business opportunities, selling concepts to the client where required and influencing the client.
  • Develop recurring geospatial business opportunities and new sales.
  • Establish a customer network focused on decision-makers in order to develop business focused on GIS services.
  • Research, investigate, and produce winning strategies for future contracting opportunities.
  • Manage business development activities including, but not limited to, representing the company in client meetings and conferences, and by fostering the development of long-term relationships with new and sustained clients, as well as partner companies.
  • Provide detailed reports and tracking of leads, opportunities, and closed sales.
  • Communicate business development activities and provide status reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.
  • Maintain oversight of projects throughout lifecycle to ensure client expectations are met and client experience is positive.
  • Work as part of the business development team to assist in improving and growing the geospatial technology group to help with the success of we-do-IT as a whole.
  • Build sales pipeline for the GIS offering by using insights to prospect, network and engage with potential clients. 
  • Establish and maintain contact with new and existing clients/partners on a regular basis so as to maximise sales and profit opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of Business Development opportunities across we-do-IT globally.


Skills:


  • Expert knowledge in solution-based selling. 
  • Proven sales track record providing ROI to customer base.
  • Expert knowledge of GIS technologies such as ESRI/GE Smallworld, utilities, and telecommunications.
  • Consultative approach to selling with exceptional stakeholder engagement.
  • Wide Enterprise Process and Data Knowledge, in order of priority. 
  • Right shoring general Data Services (Utilities and Telco FTTH) 
  • Network Conflation using LIDAR. 
  • GIS Implementation, customisation, support, upgrades, integration. 
  • Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). 
  • Outage Management Systems. 
  • SAP Integration. 
  • Enterprise Mobility.
  • A thorough understanding of and ability to operate effectively within the sales cycle.
  • Must be able to thrive under high pressure and consistently deliver results.
  • Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate with stakeholders in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to multitask.
  • A strategic thinker with strong abilities and self-motivation in building a US start-up for a global market leader.
  • Prior experience as a key growth influencer/driver in high-growth professional geospatial solutions.
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently.
  • Outstanding communication skills, presence, and energy.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours.
