Our client is a rapidly growing leader in the co-packing and manufacturing of high-quality food for restaurants and CPGs in Texas. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. On-site visits and regional travel is required.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and nurturing relationships with potential customers, as well as promoting and selling our client's products and services through a value-driven sales approach. This key position provides ample opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
What YOU get to DO at this growing company:
- Present, promote, and sell products and services using a value-driven sales approach while conducting regular business reviews to assess profitability and fit for the organization.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers through various methods, including cold calling and site visits, to generate new business.
- Resolve customer issues promptly to ensure satisfaction, and coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
- Analyze market potential and track sales to identify trends and opportunities, providing management with reports on activities and performance.
- Stay updated on best practices and seek feedback to continually improve sales strategies.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in a B2B setting with demonstrable success in securing new business
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a sales representative or manager in the food and beverage industry in manufacturing or distribution
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- Familiarity with CRM programs, and MS Office experience are advantageous.
- Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills, alongside effective prioritizing, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to create and deliver customer-tailored value propositions, manage relationships well, and be open to feedback.
