About the role

As Business Development Manager – North America, you will be pivotal in driving sales and expanding heinzelsales’ footprint in the North American market. You will manage international and domestic trading activities, business development, and distribution within North America, primarily in the pulp and tissue segments. You will participate in company introductions, market research, and product launches and manage a diverse portfolio of products, including tissue paper and various wood pulp types such as softwood, hardwood, and bamboo. We expect you to leverage your expertise and market knowledge to help bridge the gap between suppliers and customers and foster growth. The ideal candidate for this role will have a can-do attitude and a strong track record in business development in pulp and tissue. This role is remotely based in the USA or Canada, will report directly to the CEO for N.A., and requires up to 30% travel.


Main tasks & responsibilities

  • Drive sales and business development efforts in North America
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow market share and revenue
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Manage international and domestic trading activities for tissue paper and wood pulp
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and customers
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, providing excellent customer service and support
  • Represent heinzelsales at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Oversee distribution activities within North America


What we expect from you

Your Work Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
  • Min. 4 years of proven business development and B2B sales experience.
  • Experience in the pulp and tissue industry
  • Familiarity with various business functions, operations, and processes, including sales & marketing, customer service, logistics, supply chain, finance
  • Proven ability to effectively navigate and communicate with key decision-makers to close sales
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling presentations
  • Experience negotiating and understanding complex contracts
  • Experience from working in a multi-cultural, international company is a plus
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
