What You’ll Do

  • Leverage your existing relationships to drive new-new business with mid size coatings manufacturers
  • Work with all stakeholders (executive, purchasing, lab and production) and guide the process from sample through trial to production order
  • Travel in person as needed to nurture and expand long term customer relationships, positioning the Company to expand its presence within target accounts and increase the range of products sold in these accounts
  • Coordinate with both internal resources and customer teams to ensure successful establishment of ongoing buying relationships

The Profile

  • 15+ years relevant industry experience including meaningful experience (5+ years) specifically in raw materials/resins/additives sales specifically to coatings manufacturing customers, with proven success in a high growth environment opening new midsize accounts – this is the core requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Chemistry, Polymer Science or related field very helpful; however relevant industry experience is #1
  • Adaptable, entrepreneurial mindset, high level of drive and initiative, good prioritization and time management skills – you take ownership, think strategically, and plan effectively both at the day-to-day level and for the longer term business growth
  • Live near major airport; willing to travel up to 60%
