Business Development Associate

Progressive Design, Inc. is currently seeking a Business Development Associate. This is a full time/direct hire position that is located in Midlothian, VA (Richmond, VA area).

Key Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, communications, business or related fields
• Ability to think creatively and have strong sales promotion and marketing skills
• Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, integrity, professionalism, the ability to work well with others, and a great desire to be successful
  
  
  

Job Responsibilities:

• Support Business Development Manager on expanding relationships with current and future client opportunities in Progressive Design target industries
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, gaps, needs, and pain points of the target audience
• Create and maintain databases, lists, and reports of prospects, customers, and partners
• Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, agreements, and other documents related to business development
• Responsible for scheduling lunch meetings, customer entertainment, and technical presentations
• Initiating client follow-up on current projects and new leads
• Coordinate marketing efforts to expand company exposure to targeted groups
  
  
  

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, communications, business or related fields
• Strong entrepreneurial abilities and a passion to succeed
• Basic understanding of construction projects
• Experience in public speaking and technical writing
• Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional relationship management skills
• Client relationship skills including experience in negotiations, articulating complex solutions and benefits
• Ability to evaluate estimating and pricing strategies
• Ability to think creatively and have strong sales promotion and marketing skills
• Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, integrity, professionalism, the ability to work well with others, and a great desire to be successful
