Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned Technology Business Analyst to join their long standing Agile Delivery Team in the retail gas business sector. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the internal billing system, particularly focusing on sales and pricing functionalities. The ideal candidate will replace a long-standing team member, bringing fresh insights while being self-driven and independent.

• Agile Delivery: Work within Agile delivery teams to support the development and enhancement of company applications.
• User Stories: Write and refine detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements independently, without constant oversight.
• Data Analysis: Perform SQL queries to analyze data; occasionally build new queries from scratch as needed.
• Internal Billing System: Focus on maintaining and enhancing the internal billing system related to sales and pricing.
• Scrum Participation: Participate in daily scrum calls and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, developers, and quality assurance professionals to meet business needs and ensure user satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (field of study not important, however, study in the technical field would be preferred)
• Experience: 3+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst
• SQL Proficiency: Strong ability to query and analyze data using SQL.
• Agile Methodology: Solid understanding and experience with Agile principles and practices.
• Data Analysis: Ability to perform data analysis and build queries from scratch.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in documenting requirements and user stories.
• Self-Driven: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and able to gather requirements and set meetings with relevant stakeholders.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Collaboration: Enthusiastic personality with a willingness to collaborate and ask questions.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Industry Experience: Experience in the energy industry/retail gas is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Azure DevOps and Scrum Master certification are nice to have.
