Neuroscience Group has a Full-Time position available for a team-oriented Business Data Analyst. This position will typically work Monday -Friday 8 hours per day. This position will primarily be located at our Appleton clinic, however there will be times when it is necessary to work at our Neenah clinic. As an integral member of the business office the business data analyst works in a team environment to support the Neuroscience Group mission by developing meaningful analysis and timely reporting.
For over thirty years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. Ours is the only medical facility in the area that combines neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional and non-interventional pain management and physical therapy. Our practice has grown to over 40 providers and serves patients in nine outlying clinics scattered throughout the region. Responsibilities
- Participate in optimization of reporting tools (accounting software, Tableau, Power BI)
- Develop and maintain reporting systems e.g. monthly provider revenue and productivity dashboards
- Support operational budget reporting and insights
- Support data-driven strategies for cost reduction and revenue growth
- Measure financial performance against financial operating plans
- Gather, assess, and interpret financial data, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable data, and financial statements
- Research the potential impact of operational changes and assist with development of pro formas
- Assess the accuracy of data sources (varied) and inform relevant process improvement strategies through observation and collaboration across departments
- Develop searchable tools to support various departments
- Extract, clean, integrate, and analyze large data sets, including but not limited to: CPT utilization, demographic data, claims data, clinical data, and relational insights
- Pull ad hoc reports from various sources for specific use cases across departments
- Communicate findings and recommendations to various stakeholders, such as Directors, Managers, and Leads
- 3+ years' analytics experience
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Inquisitive, self-motivated, able to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Detail-oriented and solution focused
- Able to communicate complex ideas simply and concisely
- Experience with BI tool such as Qlikview, Tableau, or Microsoft BI
- Financial literacy preferred
- Experience with financial software, such as QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Striven
- EHR system (Epic, preferred)
- Fluency in using spreadsheet software and database applications
- Ability to contribute positively to culture
- Primarily seated work but will require some position change including bending, stooping, and stretching.
- May involve lifting supplies up to 20 to 30 pounds.
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment.
- Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight in order to communicate and function within this setting.
