Business Data Analyst

The Business Intelligence Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights, supporting business decision-making processes, and improving operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in statistical analysis, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Cleaning:

Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources.

Ensure data quality and integrity.

Data Analysis:

Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.

Use statistical methods and data analysis tools to derive actionable insights.

Conduct descriptive, exploratory, and inferential analyses.

Reporting and Visualization:

Create reports and dashboards to present findings and insights.

Develop visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

Communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, and product development.

Provide analytical support to various departments and projects.

Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to improve data infrastructure.

Predictive Modeling:

Develop and implement predictive models to support business initiatives.

Use machine-learning algorithms to forecast trends and behaviors.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.

Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software such as R, Python, SAS, or SQL.

Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field.

Experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.

Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, others.

Certifications in data analysis or related fields (e.g. - Certified Data Professional (CDP)).
