Business Analyst

JPI is seeking a self-starter to assist a federal client on the as a mid-level business analyst. This project aims to modernize existing data systems and deliver a scalable, cloud-based enterprise data and analytics platform. This involves building innovative service delivery models, analytics, and digital solutions to transform the Federal workplace. Efforts are directed towards modernizing legacy data platforms and establishing a scalable, cloud-based analytics platform that incorporates advanced automation and fosters the integration of government-wide human capital, industry, and contextual data.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working in data product development (e.g., as a data analyst, data visualization developer, data engineer, data scientist).
  • Experience with IT project management methods.
  • Experience capturing and communicating technical requirements effectively and clearly.
  • Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos, Tableau) to develop interactive data visualizations (e.g. charts, graphs).
  • Experience creating training content and knowledge sharing resources on data-related topics (e.g., the use of business intelligence tools, data literacy, data visualization).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment – working as a part of teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products.
  • Contribute to and manage the development of best practices for technological change.
  • Facilitate client meetings and exercises to understand and document full scope of deliverable requirements.


Requirements

  • Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience, master’s degree a plus.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamental (AZ 900) Certification at time of proposal.
  • An active Agile certification is preferred at the time of the hire.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Proficiency in IT project Management methods.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience using Power BI to structure data and develop interactive visuals is preferred.
  • Candidate must be coachable, resourceful and can work effectively independently and in large team settings to include close collaboration with senior clients and program managers.
  • Experience directly managing projects and deadlines.
  • Experience leading the planning and development of key strategic messaging, communications or talking points.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in communicating and customizing messaging that is easily understood by diverse stakeholder audiences and business units.
  • Experience owning client deliverables from concept to completion for sponsored project/program office initiatives.
  • Must be able to obtain US Security Clearance
