About The Role

Are you passionate about culinary adventures in the heart of Alaska's wilderness? As a Remote Bull Cook, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Kaktovik Inn. From preparing delicious meals to ensuring impeccable cleanliness and guest satisfaction, your responsibilities will be diverse and rewarding.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests and public orders.

Manage phone orders and operate the cash register.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across kitchen and hotel areas.

Submit food and supply orders promptly.

Perform dishwashing and ensure all equipment is sanitized.

Stock and rotate inventory as needed.

Assist with housekeeping and general cleaning duties.

Provide additional support such as airport pick-ups, mail/freight handling, and minor maintenance tasks.

Adhere to all state regulations for food handling and safety.

Requirements

Minimum age of 18 years.

Valid State of Alaska Food Worker Card.

Documentation of ServSafe Training.

Driver's License Preferred But Not Required.

Willingness to travel by small aircraft.

Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Clear criminal history and background check.

Minimum 5 years' experience as a bull cook, including 3 years in a camp kitchen setting.

Comfortable living in camp facilities for extended periods (up to 90 days) and working long hours (14-16 hours per day).

Ability to lift at least 70 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks safely.

Good teamwork and communication skills.
