US Housing Consultants, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our industry-leading team of Inspection Consultants in the New England area. As a member of our Inspection Consultants team, you would perform preparatory building inspections on assisted housing properties using HUD’s NSPIRE inspection protocol. Inspection Consultants work both regionally and nationally, working with owners and agents of HUD and Tax Credit assisted properties to remain in compliance with national inspection standards.



To join our team, candidates should have a general knowledge of building systems and components, and a willingness to learn about effective ways to evaluate multifamily and assisted living assets. Candidates with prior experience in affordable housing, building maintenance, construction, and professional inspections are preferred, but anyone with an interest is welcome to apply. The most important qualifications are a desire to learn, working well with clients and residents of all backgrounds, providing calm and intelligent advice, and having a genuine appreciation for helping others.



Inspection Consultants work throughout the country and must travel to properties, some travel may be local and other travel will include air travel. The day-to-day job of an Inspection Consultant requires a lot of walking, lifting, bending down and travel to and from properties. Daily hours may vary, and occasionally travel on Sunday is required.



Qualified individuals will have the following skills and abilities:

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all property staff and tenants.
  • Be comfortable with business travel, including air travel, rental cars, and hotels.
  • Basic knowledge of building and site components, Exterior, Interior, Common Areas, Systems and Mechanical Rooms, and Grounds.
  • Must be comfortable working and moving around at various heights (rooftops) and moving up multiple flights of stairs at a quick pace.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and be 25 Years or Older.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle with insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

40 hours per week

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 annually
