Budtender - Full Time

Dispensary Budtenders support the daily operations of the dispensary, through providing information, customer service, and sales of products to patients and caregivers. Budtenders also perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, stocking shelves and maintaining inventory, and staying current on new products to recommend to patients.

Requirements

  • Maintains proficient knowledge of company standard operating procedures, state requirements, industry standards, administration routes, products, and how to incorporate cannabis into one's life
  • Presents knowledge and information to patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that each patient or client has a high-quality, comfortable, industry-leading experience
  • Consult with patients in a genuine, empathetic manner that respects individuals, company standards, and state regulations
  • Dispenses regulated products in compliance with dispensing limits set by the state including limitations on the quantity dispensed, types of products dispensed, and frequency of purchases and completes sales by entering accurate data for each transaction in the inventory tracking system and business management platforms
  • Ensures accuracy with each order, including correct product, label, and packaging requirements are met
  • Stocks, merchandises, and replenishes displays of regulated and unregulated inventory
  • General store upkeep
  • Verifies the identity of patients and caregivers prior to sale
  • Assist management in ensuring all procedures are being followed and regulations are being met
  • Contribute to an environment of teamwork, team building, and accountability to help foster a comfortable work environment that meets and exceeds company goals
  • Thoroughly document all customer complaints and returns, reporting any high-risk complaints or trends in complaints as needed
  • Operate within full compliance of seed-to-sale operations, always maintaining full traceability of all products

Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
  • General computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 1+ year Retail/Customer Service experience
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have valid MS cannabis work permit

Education

  • Clinical research experience preferred

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 25lbs
