The Office of the Commissioner seeks a Part Time Broadcast Engineer to support the MLB Replay Operations Center and all (30) MLB franchises.
Responsibilities
Verify ballpark equipment including video servers and communication equipment
Document equipment status and verify incoming video streams for Replay
Communicate with local technicians and Replay Operators to coordinate video requests and equipment confirmations
Keep detailed and thorough notes and documentation
Assist in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on all broadcast devices
Skills & Experience
Have fundamental understanding of Broadcast technology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and understand technical materials
Ability to recognize and troubleshoot issues in infrastructure environments and software applications
Ability to work well with others within a team environment and without direct supervision
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Knowledge Of The Following Equipment a Bonus
Evertz systems, Hawkeye systems, Riedel Intercoms, Remote camera operations, etc.
Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $30.00 to $30.00. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
