Break Press Operator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Break Press Operator. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job by lifting and maneuvering large sheets of metal and ensuring that the machines are operating correctly and that pieces are cut to perfection. Needs to be a problem-solver, troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and be mechanically skilled.

All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Wage: $20.00 to $25.00 depending on experience

We are currently offering $3.50 per hour for shift differential

Swing Shift: 3:00 pm to 2:00 am. Monday - Thursday. Depending on experience could train on days shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm for about 2-4 months before moving to swing shift. Day shift can be flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different projects
• Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company
• Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results
• Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality
• Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs
• Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part
• Ensure that the results of the machining process align with client expectations
• Conduct regular CNC machine assessments
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CNC operator with sheet metal or basic fabrication background
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
• Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
• Good communication abilities
