Our client, an indie beauty brand is looking for a Brand Marketing Manager. This person will be a pivotal player in our mission to grow brand awareness and customer acquisition through engaging grassroots marketing efforts, compelling storytelling, community-building on social platforms and IRL, brand partnerships, and other brand-building activities.


As Brand Marketing Manager, you will lead our company's efforts to acquire new customers, strengthen existing relationships and increase brand goodwill throughout the industry, as well as to position the brand as the next breakout accessible luxury beauty destination. You will work hand-in-hand with the Founders on brand storytelling and brand aligned marketing initiatives, and you will be expected to create, execute and optimize on brand marketing missions that align with our goals and identity across the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Calendar: Develop and support all brand marketing efforts as it pertains to the marketing communication calendar. Work closely with cross functional teams to understand shifts in calendar and strategies based on inventory or business performance and adjust accordingly.
  • Project Management: Point of contact for all marketing operations workstreams
  • Creative: Support production/creative with kick-off and timelines including oversight of dashboards to ensure all details are aggregated including day-to-day execution and follow-ups of marketing tactics
  • Creative Briefs: Create and manage creative briefs for all brand marketing channels such as: email, paid media, website, influencer, social media, partnerships/ collaborations, retail events and public relations to ensure all facets are completed per brief and delivered on time
  • Creative Review: Participate in Creative Review Meetings to document notes and approvals on brand assets
  • Strategy: In collaboration, ensure all campaigns support brand initiatives, vision, and customer experience, engagement, and customer growth
  • Marketing Initiatives: Lead team with brand strategy and campaigns to drive increased awareness and customer growth through media amplification, retail events and activations, partnerships and wholesale support
  • Reporting: Responsible for campaign measurement and collaboration with the brand team
  • Industry Knowledge: Monitor and keep abreast of industry trends and competitor strategy
  • Personal Skills: Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, ensuring timely delivery of strategy and action points
  • KPI’s: Demonstrates the ability to create and manage KPI’s and reporting to Co-CEO’s to ensure easy management and evaluation of strategies

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in beauty marketing or related industry
  • Broad product and brand knowledge within beauty industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new content & processes
  • Comfortable with ambiguity while successfully navigating in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
  • Accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues
