Company Overview

Bosun's client, a renowned residential home office building and remodeling player, is transitioning to in-house accounting functions. They are looking to onboard a full-time Accounting Administration Office Lead who will be instrumental in managing and streamlining their financial processes.

Position Overview

As the Accounting Administration Office Lead, you will oversee various aspects of insurance, licensing, subcontractor management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and more. This position demands a highly organized and analytical individual with a deep understanding of the home building and residential remodeling business.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance and Licensing Management:

  • Conduct yearly checks and follow-ups for insurance and licensing.
  • Manage bonding, insurance audits, and business/contractor licenses at local and state levels.

Subcontractor Paperwork

  • Ensure up-to-date vendor workers' compensation and liability insurance certificates.
  • Facilitate new vendor setups, including agreements and file creation.

Accounts Receivables

  • Handle draw requests, change order invoices, customer change order draws, and job completion audits.

Accounts Payable

  • Manage check writing post office manager approval and maintain vendor information in QuickBooks.

Billing And Payroll Management

  • Keep billing spreadsheets updated and manage payroll processing biweekly in QuickBooks.

Allowance Spreadsheet Management

  • Track allowances, communicate with customers regarding balance changes, and manage overages and work orders.

Pre-Construction Workflow

  • Oversee pre-construction activities like ordering surveys, maintaining bank updates, and handling HOA submissions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in generating reports from QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong background in residential home office building and remodeling.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage business operations effectively.
  • Experience in Co-Construct residential building software is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to forecast and inform owners about day-to-day operations.
  • Proficient in Outlook and Google Suite is preferred
