Bookkeeper -- Remote | WFH

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This remote position requires someone with a strong background in public accounting and proficiency in QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate will manage financial records accurately, handle accounts receivable and payable, and assist with tax preparation. While the role is remote, candidates must reside in Houston or surrounding areas as occasional in-person meetings may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records using double-entry bookkeeping methods.
• Process accounts receivable and payable transactions.
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in tax preparation activities to ensure compliance.
• Ensure accurate recording of debits and credits.
  
  

Experience

The successful candidate should have:

• Proven experience in public accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online with the ability to manage multiple accounts.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
• Ability to perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping methods.

• Experience in public accounting and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in managing accounts receivable and tax procedures.
• Strong 10-key typing skills.
• Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping.
